OnePlus is launching its first foldable phone, the OnePlus Open, with the help of America’s favorite furry cryptid. Created in partnership with Dallas-based 3Headed Monster, the campaign is part of a larger push to bring OnePlus into the U.S. Android market after success in India and East Asia.
The campaign, which is running across all digital platforms, centers around Bigfoot as an “early adopter” of new trends. The spot opens with Bigfoot ironically asking “Want to see something unbelievable?” before expounding on the OnePlus Open’s many features, including its large screen, thin design and the ability to film in Dolby Vision—a decided upgrade from grainy images of Bigfoot walking through the woods.
